I’ve finally done it. After years of using WordPress on other people’s’ sites, I’ve put together my own.
Previous iterations were my own custom templating system, eventually moving to Laravel with the idea of making a full-fledged CRM to take payments and let clients peek in on projects. Which was cool, for a while. However, it didn’t get much use, and frankly was a bear to maintain with the way I had it set up. I have a tendency to over-engineer things when I’m putting them together for the pure fun of it.
Essentially, I figure that if I’m going to spend time on code, I’m going to do it for someone who really needs it, eg. the client. Hence the WordPress set up, hence the theme that I built on Divi (also, I am just not very adept at visual design).
So here we are!
